Hey y'all!
Unfortunately because of computer time this is going to be a short one! I will do my best to update you on what's happened throughout the week!
Okay, so on Sunday I had the opportunity to teach on Post (Ft. Sill). It was one of the best experiences I have ever had on my mission. I have learned a ton from one Sunday spent out there. I was expecting some certain differences when it came to teaching, but it went really smoothly. My companion, Elder Burnham, doesn't come to Post with me, so it's a very strange situation. I teach with a returned missionary that is currently going through BASIC at that time, who happened to be Brother Pinto, who did a great job at explaining and helping me teach. I taught discussions 4 and 5 to the Soldiers that attended my class, and then myself and the other missionaries went to the baptisms of 3 soldiers who wanted to be baptized that day. It's a very regimented schedule because it's on the time of the Army, not on their own individual time, but we made it even with certain time restraints. All in all it was a great experience and I am very excited to continue to serve on Post however long I get to stay in Lawton.
We have been meeting with a lot of our investigators and have been redetermining their interest level and what they expect from us, as well as what we expect from them. Through this process we have dropped a few investigators, but I will have to give that update next week because I have a few minutes left on the computer.
I want you all to know that I love you! Being on my mission has changed me for the better and I am excited for even further changes to take place! I have experienced my mission helping me in many aspects, almost too many to count. I know that the Lord's hand is in everything, and that he wants to build me and everyone else in this world up so that we can be mighty in worship and faith.
Choose the right continually,
Elder Holbrook
