Hey Family and Friends!
The temperatures have really cooled off this past weekend but they are beginning to warm up just a bit. We got snowfall yesterday, which was really nice to see. It feels like it's been too long since I've seen real snow.
Getting down to business because of time constraints:
I am leaving Lawton and going to Quail Creek, which is in Oklahoma City. The address I have been given is: 3101 NW 150 St. Apt. 35G, Oklahoma City, OK 73135. If this isn't the correct address I will repost it next week. (Update: change in zip code! 73134 NOT 73135)
My new companion is Elder Rumsey, who has extremely similar interests that I do. I am sure this is going to be a great companionship.
This week at Fort Sill was really awesome. We were able to get 9 baptismal dates with Soldiers, and there were really great prospects of further success coming from the first discussion. I will miss Fort Sill a lot, but I know that the Lord has greater things for me in store at Quail Creek. I am super excited for the change. I've been in one zone so far in my mission, and my first area is only 33 miles away. I am glad that I will be able to see a different part of Oklahoma!
My testimony has grown so much since I have been here. Lawton has been my "proving ground", so to speak. I am excited to move on, but I will always remember the hearts that the Lord was able to change while I have been here. I'm proud to have served here.
Love all of ya,
Elder Holbrook
